Doug, where's the spell checker on this thing?!?!?! The Vile's have landed. The company (x-chem, mark's company) has relocated the family to Wellesly Inn and Suites in Irving TX. (972-751-0808 roomes 356 and 358)We have these rooms for the month. Here are some numbers should you need to get in touch: Irene Cell (504) 723-9357 Sara Cell (504) 261-6344 Mark's Cell (504) 957-8736 (this number would probably not be answered, Sara's cell is your best bet)
It's so good to have a means of staying in touch with our spiritual family!

Hi everyone, We've been having adventures as Pam Wang would say...By the way, has anyone heard from them??? We went to church with the Paton family today. What a blessing!! Rebecca is taller than Suzanne. Christopher is 4yrs. Our Sunday school teacher knew Larry,Brad, and knew of Berean. The Pastor had been a speaker at the Gulf Coast Bible conference.
We also ran into Bob and Julie Carlson, former missionaries of Berean to South Africa. There was a bulletin insert just a couple of weeks ago concerning his retirement from the foreign field. He will be candidating in Washington State for 2 Sundays very soon for a senior pastor's position. The Patons had us to lunch...yum Suzanne's homemade enchiladas. When we left there, I got to take a tour down "memory lane". When I was 8 or 9ish my mother and I came to Dallas an spent the summer.(maybe it was only 6 weeks- seemed longer but then I was much younger)
My sister and brother-in-law where attending DTS. Today we drove down Swiss Ave. where their apt was and by DTS. I remember going to VBS at Scofield Bible Church down on the corner (it was gone, couldn't find it). We almost didn't find our way back to the interstate. Dallas's interstate system is amazing. I keep thinking.." how ya gonna get them back in the da parish, after they've seen Irving". of course that should be sung. :-)
Over the last several months I've been thinking about the concept of "praying ahead". I heard a message somewhere( TV or radio or Brad) about Daniel's prayer taking 3 weeks to get answered. This intrigue me to know how to pray ahead when we don't know what even the next day will hold. Long about the same time Job came up in the daily readings and I was not thrilled. I have issues with that book on several levels, but I think the Holy Spirit impressed me with one thing. Satan was griping about God having a "hedge of protection" around Job...so for several weeks I'd been asking for that protection only He can give- for the family, house, my health, the kids, the church....little did I ever dream of what was coming. There have been moments while watching the news I've felt guilty of having it so good-food, electricty,a hot bath, on an on...it's only because God hear's, answers, and is so merciful....we are the sheep of His pasture and He has pastures all over the place-
Of course we miss Our "fold" It will be joyful to fellowship/worship again together.....

Hi everyone,
We had a great time visiting with Glen, Melissa, Sarah and Jordan last night over dinner at Don Pablos. They had come to Dallas to drop Sarah at the airport. She flew out this morning heading to New Jersey.
Mark also talked with Perrin this morning. He's in Birmingham, doing okay. He didn't get to take all his instruments, and since he lives about 2 blocks from the 17th. St. Canal, he doesn't expect to have anything left. He's looking for gigs and students in Birmingham if anyone hears anything. His parents are with him!!!

News Flash!!! Viles heading back to Metairie- 10/22 Todd has been living at the house now for 2 weeks. Mark, Sara and I will be leaving Irving, TX Saturday a week. I'm really having mixed emotions about going back to Metairie. We've enjoyed being at Irving Bible church and have enjoyed the area and I know how much work awaits at home. Sara has been enjoying her group called Thrive ( singles 25-30, about 100 of them), I've been attending the Ladies Bible study, called Free, written by the women's pastor or Irving Bible. It's been a excellent study. There's about 300 in this morning study group. They do things BIG in Texas. These groups have been like a "spiritual oasis" for Sara and me. What's been happening over the last few weeks... some of you know I've had several medical tests completed. Nothing serious was found, well I least I don't think anything was serious. I have another appointment in 2 weeks with doctor in Metairie. I'm feeling much better after 8 weeks of "hotel rest". Mark and I got to attend the Cowboys and Eagles game last week. The Cowboys won when they were not suppose to win. It was the first game Mark and I have attended in years (maybe 10 to 15). We're hoping to visit the Ft. Worth zoo and State Fair this weekend ( the last weekend in town.) I got to talk with Peggy Miller last night. She and the boys are now in Dallas, actually they are living in Plano, TX. We hope to visit with them before heading back to Metairie. I really am looking forward to being back with the people. I don't miss the city, or the house, or the food, but I do miss the people, family and friends. I really miss Sunday morning worship time with Brad's teaching ministry and our small group!! See all ya'll soon....
