Mary Ann and David,
Wow. I can't believe that I found out that you were ok. I have emailed Celeste a couple of times in the past few days but her hands are so very, very full these days.
I was actually looking at some evacuee lists to see if you, David and Rose were listed. Where is Rose? We were with my parents yesterday and they both were asking about her.
If you do get this message, please reply to hriceb@sbcglobal.net.
We now have almost 10,000 evacuees here at Ebbing Air National Guard Base here in Fort smith, AR with at least 10,000 more coming.
CNN just came on and said that at least some in Jefferson Parrish are to be let back in tomorrow.
I am praying for everybody. I can't believe how quickly society in NO fell apart.

Update on Russell - He is still in Kuwait - supposed to return to US on Sept 9 - arrive at Fort Polk on Sept 10 - after that not sure where he'll go. We have spoken to him on the phone and he's with a group from New Orleans and it's killing them to be sitting around waiting and not being able to do anything.

MaryAnne - Hi from the Ellingsens! I talked with Laura today to find out how you all were and then finally learned how to use this site tonight so thought I would send you a note to let you know Paul and I have been praying for your families and many others during the last two weeks. We cannot even begin to imagine how difficult this is for all of you. God never wastes time though so I know He will turn this time into blessing as we all trust Him for His provision and plan. Laura told me that Rose will be heading that way.... she sounded so at peace; I hope you are all too. I wondered if any of you were in the Houston area and wanted to you all to know our door is always open. I cannot believe Charlotte is a senior and little Phillip is a sophomore already. We faced an empty nest a couple of weeks ago as we took Tim up to Wheaton (outside Chicago) - he will play (kick) football there and Mike began graduate studies, also there. Paul is working most of the time in Canada so I joined him there, but we are coming and going from Houston. Please know of our love and concern, prayer and willingness to do anything we can for you during this time. Praying for you all and thanking the Lord you are safe. Greet your family. Love, Vicki, for Paul too (pellingsen@aol.com)

Hi MaryAnne and all the Olschners! I saw the return of the NO National Guard the other day on the news, and said "I HOPE that is Russells unit!!" SO glad to find out he is back safe on US soil. A BIG thank you to him for his service to us all. And I'm so glad to find out where yet another of our Berean families has relocated.
Margaret (for the Reillys)
