I thought it would be fun to have a place to share stories about God is showing His love to us in the midst of the storm and its effects on us ....
The one thing that has been increasingly encouraging is how so many other churches want to help our church ... not only meeting the needs of our effected members, but also to reach the community in the process of helping them .... AND my love and appreciation of the Berean church family has grown incredibly. I needed that ...
Who wants to go next?

Day by day-blessings are mounting up- extended stay rooms-paid for by company- living allowances- Dinner with the Patons- but yesterday was unique...The family was invited to Mark's immediate boss's house for a Labor Day cookout. Another couple were there, who live here and work at NCH- not for X-Chem. When visiting around and getting to know one another when the lady heard Sara was in NOTBS she really got into an intense conversation and just my ease-dropping I could tell this woman was a believer. Turns out this family attends Irving Bible Church. Mark has already been in contact with Tom Curran. And that's where we were planning to attend church. This family was having a group of singles at their house that night- ( their daughter in involved with the group.... Talk about the Lord bringing people into your life at just the right time.) Yesterday was another adventure as the Lord walks us through this time.

Nathan! He has been so good thru all of this. The neighbors teens and their youth group have adopted him. They are thrilled to have someone extra to play guitar and have asked him to join their teen praise band. He's already working on music. He told me yesterday that he's started to write a song about all of this, but that my niece couldn't hear it because it would be so sad. He started school today and was so excited. It was such a blessing to see him adapt so well to all of this.

With me trying to get Ernie into school and get a temporary job, I needed more clothes. My hosts' church has a "Clothes Closet" that looks more like a nice-sized upper-scale thrift store. We went there this morning and I was able to find several pairs of pants and some clothes to wear to church. Never again will I evacuate with only sandals and capris!! God has certainly been meeting ALL of our needs....

We have been so blessed to have a community of believers to take refuge in. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that the same church I prayed for Dana to fold into and grow spirtually would one day be ministering and taking care of me, Dennis & Dillon in such a mighty way. Even when I lapse into my missing my "family" so much and wanting to go home- I'm so completely humbled how God has taken care of us and provided through the body of believers here at Christ Community. I am gaining new "family"members each day. The family He placed us with are so generous and loving , I know there is much I can learn from being in their midst. I look forward to getting home with a deeper faith in my Lord and a renewed since of love and care for each other and the community around us.
