Our church has already started talking about trying to get a workteam together. If Berean is led down that path in coordinating teams, please let us know. We attended there 20+ years ago, and would love to be part of your ministry in this trying time. Ed Wolbert edwolbert@comcast.net Roberts Road Bible Church Justice, IL www.rrbchurch.org

I'm sure that most churches are thinking about work teams that focus on construction. Those will definitely be needed. I'm sure we won't run of of work for those types of teams.
I think we could use any type of skills that are provided. A medical team could provide free medical aid out of our facility. A team of lawyers could help people deal with insurance and FEMA. We could have a team of barbors/hairstylists that just want to come down and cut hair for free. The possibilities are endless.
Needless to say, we have no clue when teams could start coming down. It could be a month...it could be three months. We will are compling lists of people interested and we will let you know.

Hi, I am Maranatha Bible Church in Comstock Park, MI. We are a part of the IFCA. Our church is also getting a vacant apartment owned by the church ready to house evacuees. I know that rebuilding churches and believers' houses may be down the road a bit, but we would love to be a part of doing that in anyway needed. Of course it would be a special treat to work on churches or people's houses of "like precious faith", but it is not a prerequisite whatsoever--we will go where needed. Please let us know how we can be a part. Over 500 students at Cedarville University in Ohio have expressed a willingness to do relief work in New Orleans and the surrounding area. We can send teams as small as 9 or as large as 150. Our goal is that teams would be self-supporting, i.e. we would provide our own meals and housing. All we would need is access to bathrooms and some one who could direct us to work projects. We are willing to clean up, partner with construction projects, or help care for refugees. We would like to send teams over our Fall Break (October 20-23), Thanksgiving break, Christmas break (January 4-8), and Spring Break (March 4-13). If you can provide work for one of these groups please contact Dr. Carl Ruby at (937) 766-7871. Our students have taken up an offering and are prepared to provide financial support for the projects that these teams do.

So, I'll make my reply short since he probably was able to give you most of your info. We should have an information form for you guys to fill out on your group posted by the end of the day...
