I know that Jim & Ryan were going in to check out their house. I have been wondering if their area got water, since they are right by the Lake.
Margaret, have you heard from them yet?

Ryan called my dorm today looking for keith and i talked to him for a little bit. They are in Kenner now-I didn't get a chance to ask how the house was. He said he would be moving up to Ruston on Sat. Thats all I know now-i'll post later if i find out anything else.

Doug- I called Jim's cell today around 3 PM and actually got through. His answer instead of hello was "I can't believe you got through " They are leaving tomorrow (thursday) and heading to Alexandria to drop off the UHaul then they will make it up or down to Ruston on Friday. Jim will spend the night in Ruston and then head back to Katy, TX on Saturday. Jim said the house faired well, no flooding, some roof damage to upstairs bedrooms. Be prepared for the stench of the fridge- Jim said even with gallons of bleach they still can't get the smell out.

Hi, Ryan and I went in on Monday with a generator and A/C. I expected to see allot worse in Kenner. Allot of trees were down, and as a result, power lines. As Julie said, our house was OK- minor water damage from loss of a ridge vent and chimney. Its been 2 days since we cleaned the fridge, and I can still smell it! We are in Pineville tonight, headed for Ruston tomorrow to drop Ryan off.
