Here is the text of an email from Beth and Skeeter about their visit home:
_______________________________________________ All of our extended family are safe and unharmed.
We returned home Monday to find NO DAMAGE to the house, not a shingle, piece of siding, window, patio cover - nothing. A 30' section of fence was leaning about 8" and two small trees were laid down. Our tree fern and the rest of the landscaping was even spared, with only litter to pick up. We were amazed.
Beth's mother's house was looted. Not much was taken, her wedding ring(s) computer modem and wireless router were all that we know of.
Woodmere, There was no flooding in the front section. We heard that the rear section of Woodmere had been flooded, but when we went to Sherie's house wee could not find a water line. I could not find her key and it was too dark in the house to see through the window. Most of the homes in Woodmere had light to moderate roof damage, many of these had plywood exposed and may have had rain water damage as a result. Most fences were down, LOTS of downed trees and a lot of siding torn loose.
The National Guard is set up at entry points and requires identification as to the address of all who enter.

Hi Beth and Skeeter,
Do you remember us? We(Jim,Laurie,Lucas&Tyler) attended Berean through most of the 80's. You have been in our prayers and we were so glad to hear that many Berean folks are safe. Jim and I attend a loving and generous church which would like to help BBC in a variety of ways. There was already an offering taken to help out, but our leaders want to be good stewards of the funds and were hoping to talk to someone personally before sending the money to your bank. You are probably very busy, but if you have a chance sometime, could you call or e-mail us. Thank You, May God continue to bless, Laurie and Jim Yost (402-332-0646) laurieyost@earthlink.net
